I guess if you like the whole nonsensical feeling of musicals and the bland white bread humor of Americas Funniest videos you would probably like this movie too. Personally, I hate musicals (except for the Blues Brothers. Thank God that John Travolta learned how to act later in his career. I guess this is supposed to be a classic, but I have never been able to stand it. Horrible over the top acting broken up by ridiculous song and dance numbers. UGH.
Just realized how incredibly symbolic it is having Tracy wearing a black and white (checkerboard) dress. Who watching this during Quarantine still love this movie and Im only 16. A song from a time when life was much simpler. Briljant in summer nights.
Vanessa killed it on Grease Live. Really proud as her day was not the best, but still made an awesome rendition of the song. God please bring healing to this lovely lovely human being who has a heart the size of the world.
I didn't really think that "Grease" was as good as people I know say it is, but it's okay. I mean, it's better than most movies I've seen before. It's fun to watch, and the chemistry between Danny and Sandy is all so innocent. It has really great musical numbers sung by Olivia Newton-John, John Travoltra, and the rest of the cast, and it became a cult classic film, which will live forever. Even today, the "Grease" legacy lives on! Not bad. I have seen this film hundred's of times and i think it is the best musical ever. I can watch this film over and over again and i will never get bored of watching it. I know all the words in the film as i love it so much. My favorite scene is the carnival at the end of the film. The acting in this film is great, all of the actors played all the character's really well. This film is really funny all the way through. I would recommend this film to anyone who's wants to watch a good musical. The music in this film is really good. I think this film is a cheerful film.
I just realised i would love to see a zac effron movie where he acts as a younger elvis presely. Love this song! Awesome! D. I've been in love with her for years. Once I was working in a movie theater in Westwood California as a door man when she and a few of her friends came to watch a film in the afternoon. There was a record shop across the street I ran over at my break and bought one of her records and when she was leaving I asked her to sign it for me, and she did. One of my coworkers told her what I had just done and she said that was very sweet and gave me a kiss on my cheek! I still have the record.
How can you hate Michelle Pfeiffer's character it's Michelle Pfeiffer. Rizzoli is my favorite character (next to Sandy) because she showed the most character depth. She acted like she was all tough, but she admits that crying in front of the one she loves would be the worse thing that she could do.
Grease is a vapid, campy, so sweet for its own good, and over-the-top musical that has a terrible message, inconsistent storytelling, unfocused plot, and a stretched running length. But it features wonderful catchy songs, a charismatic and insanely energetic performance from John Travolta, who has an incredible chemistry with Olivia Newton-John, and characters that almost all of them are fleshed-out. If all these things aren't enough to make this movie charming what else could be?
